Ok kids, I'm putting together a 2007 Reading list (inspired by alissamarie) and I need recommendations.

So recommend one and I mean ONE book I should read.

Anyway, read "The Thirteenth Tale" by Diane Setterfield. I read it in less than 24 hours because I couldn't put it down...and I'm NOT usually a fan of fiction.

The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay was actually incredibly engaging and interesting, with great characters and really fascinating historical plot. I don't want to give too much away, but that would be my pick, at least from my list this year.

The Hours is also quite good.

You're putting on a wedding -- as well as getting married. (Those are two seriously different things.) So I'd suggest Miss Manners' Guide to Excruciatingly Correct Behavior. Great fun and useful advice.

This is hard! I have like ten titles I could tell you to read.

But, seriously, read The Secret History of the Pink Carnation by Lauren Willig. Does it count if I tell you to read the other books in the series (ok, I haven't read the third, but it's going to be this weekend's task). It's wonderful! It's a genre-bending read with a mix of mystery, history, chick lit, spy novel, and romance all rolled into one.
