Agreed! The petitioners don't waste much time exposing their agenda; it's plain by the second half of the first sentence:
Sign our petition and send a message to America that God is not a Republican, or a Democrat and that the Religious Right does not speak for you.
The idea that God isn't registered with either party is neither revolutionary nor original (it's a cute slogan, though, so maybe a few lemmings will follow without thinking), and having Wallis and the Religious Left speak for me instead isn't exactly what I'd call an upgrade. No, thanks.
