As many of you know, [livejournal.com profile] bona and I will be honeymooning in Ireland. We're there for 10 days, the first two in Dublin and the rest driving around the southern part of the country, flying out of Shannon.

I think some of you have been there and I'm curious as to your recommendations.

Things already on our agenda:

Blarney Stone
Guinness factory
Waterford factory
Galway
Trying to meet Bono :)

I'm so jealous! Never been to Ireland (D. and I *still* haven't taken a honeymoon and we've been married nearly two years!), so you'll have to post lots of pictures! :)

i've only done dublin and the general area... and it's glorious, one of my favorite cities *ever.* the only thing on your list i made it to was guinness... but it was SO worth it. you haven't had guinness until you have had it warm in the middle of the day with a bunch of irishmen. and you can smell the hops a few miles before you get there.

have a wonderful time! i can't wait for the photos!

I've been in Dublin (it's LOVELY, an amazing city) - and I'd definitely recommend taking a stroll around Trinity and trying to get in to see the Book of Kells. Quite amazing, and the setup is nice. Should be able to find it once you get into Trinity, which is hard to miss.

There's a great pub downtown where the Dubliners got their start, but I'm blanking on the name.

You'll have an awesome time!!

I'd second the suggestion on going to Trinity and looking at the Book of Kells. It's an amazing exhibit and the campus is gorgeous. I'm very jealous. Dublin is my favorite city.

I'd go to Belfast. It's not far. Nothing is far in that little country.
