Had some tummy pain similiar to the type that sent me to the ER but now I have pain drugs!

That little visit to the ER was $1265. Sheesh.

Must schedule that gallbladder ultrasound before my follow-up appointment with my doc. ;)

Went to my old church last night. They had this cool dance to the music of "The Last Temptation of Christ" by Peter Gabriel. Considering that the church will have several showings of "The Passion of the Christ" on Good Friday I thought it was very interesting. Of course, they only identified the music as being by Peter Gabriel.

oh, i hope your insurance covered that entire fee! good grief. health care is gonna make us all broke. :/

the last temptation sound track is unearthly. i think maybe we talked about it once before? on first listening, when i borrowed it from the library soon after the film came out, it induced a near-desperate urge to pray in me. i bought the cd used about a year ago and listen from time to time. the resurrection section is fabulous.

i forget whether you saw the Passion film. i didn't and won't. willow creek threw a lot of support behind it when it came out, didn't it? (i just realized using "it" to refer to the church feels odd, but "they" seemed ungrammatical!)

Yeah, I saw "Passion". My reaction was and still is mixed. Being half-Jewish I thought Gibson could have done a much better job of not making the film anti-Semitic.

Willow did through a lot of support behind it, that's one of the reasons why it's my "old church."

oh, i had wondered about the break but didn't want to pry. from all i read about the film as it was coming out, i figured i'd probably be offended by the anti-semitic stereotypes. gibson is a man of a genuinely strong faith, but the brand of faith he has tends to deal in stereotypes.

however, i will say that the hoo-haw surrounding the release of the film was instrumental in my return to church. it got me to thinking seriously about Jesus again. so i would thank ol' mel for that!

*That's interesting* So you didn't see the film but returned to church. Now that's one I haven't heard. ;)
