Hi, Deb.

I wanted to let you know your dad’s in the hospital – nothing serious, hopefully, but he’s had a very sore leg for a few days, and it turned out to be a blood clot. The danger is if it should break loose, so he’s on total bedrest and blood thinners and he’ll be there for a few days at least. He’s quite comfortable tonight, catching up on some reading, I think.

oh, dear! they can control those clots much better nowadays than they used to, via warfarin or coumadin. i'll pray your father is much better very soon.
