I just finished a wonderful book, The Big Year: A Tale of Man, Nature, and Fowl Obsession by Mark Obmascik.

It's about the quest of three very different men to become the year's champion birder (birdwatcher is a more common term) in an informal competition called the Big Year. The Big Year is a year long quest to see the most species of birds. The men profiled are very quirky and geeky. I like characters like that. :) A wonderful read on a snowy day.

That sounds really good, and I've been looking for something to read. :)
