In Memoriam: Grandma and Molly Ivins

Both my Grandma and Molly Ivins died yesterday.
Funny because I first got into Ivins when Grandma bought me a book of hers for Christmas.
My Grandma had a heck of a life. Born in 1917 in the Philippines to Baptist missionary parents, she stayed there until she was 18. Five minutes after the ship left, she lit a cigarette which would have horrified her parents.
She served as a WAC in World War II where she met my Grandpa.
My favorite memory of her was hanging out in her kitchen and "helping" her do the NYT Crossword Puzzle.
