Interesting story about him though...he went to prison down in Southern Ill., when I was at school down there. Our newspaper (which was pretty big for a college paper, actually) photog had an uncle that worked at the prison and he got the one and only "perp walk" photo of Pete going to prison, because they took him in a back entrance for processing, and Ron's uncle brought only Ron back there. He got big bucks from the AP for it, I guess.
He's not the only person that's ever bet on sports as an insider. He just got caught. I find myself unable to care about this issue. I was a kid when this all went down and didn't pay attention. I finally learned what he really went to prison for when the topic came up a few years ago.
