Not very well spoken, in depth at all. A 5th grader would have more passion.

Cmon, I've read posts written in 5 minutes with more conviction and passion than his few words.

I respect his skill, but not his treating baseball like a job. He did it, and did it well, but left everything at the park and never showed emotion.

Baseball is life, get fired up.

I have to defend Ryno here since I'm about to dis him in a minute ;-)

I don't give a rip if a ballplayer "left everything at the park." That's the only place I care what they do. What makes a great ballplayer, to me, is someone who plays hard, plays well and plays smart. Sandberg was one of those players. Nothing wrong with treating something like a job if you care enough to do your job well.

Tony LaRussa gets "fired up" all the time, and if not for the fortuitous power of Albert the Great, he'd be firing up the golf balls right now.
