I can agree with most of this. I feel bad for those who stayed because they had no way to leave. I do not feel bad for those who had options and chose to stay. I feel bad for those who feel the need to steal to feed their families. I do not feel bad for those carting televisions out of a local Walmart. I can't believe so many people are condoning looting.

Regardless of why they're there, they're there. Bottom line, we need to care for our fellow man. The reasons why are pretty pointless at this point. Scoop those people up for rescue, whether they're helpless or just hapless and stupid.

And I was thinking about the looting today. Why would you take a big TV when you can't plug it in anywhere? I mean, it's a pain in the butt to carry. There's no where to use it or pawn it or sell it. And you don't even know if it still works if it's waterlogged? What are they going to do with it???

I'm not saying don't save the stupid, although given a choice I would say save the stupid last. I just don't feel nearly as bad for them as I do the ones who had no way out.
