Books and the wisdom of friends

Was delighted when i got home yesterday to see that daisydumont had sent me a Leonard Sweet book for free.

Had an excellent small group at church last night. I'm in a group with two slightly older but very wise women. It's wonderful to have their feedback, fellowship and encouragement when the road gets rocky.

We're probably going to Oberweis for my birthday!

In other church news, my pastor is publishing a book, The Great Giveaway: Reclaiming the Mission of the Church from American Business, Parachurch Organizations, Psychotherapy, Consumer Capitalism, And Other Modern Maladies in October. Rumor has it he's getting interviewed by Publisher's Weekly by phone on Saturday about it. You can preorder from Amazon.
