apologies to eleanor and parisgarters for missing connections in NYC. bona nearly ran himself ragged scheduling in the people and places we *did* get to.

I got a very nice raise at work.

Do my eyes deceive me? Or is Salman Rushdie scheduled to be at next April's Calvin Festival of Faith and Writing?

Hey, The Satanic Verses is one of the best loss-of-faith novels ever written. It's no Middlemarch in that category, but it's still pretty darn terrific.
