Last night at about 2am I woke up with the worst pain ever in my stomach, I had something similiar about a month earlier but it went away. This was not going away any time soon so I called my neighbor to take me to the ER.

The ER is a very interesting place at 2am, TV blaring, families of stabbing victims (in the suburbs no less) and lots of cryin kids. I finally got seen by a doctor about 3 1/2 hours after I got there and wouldn't you know it that the pain was gone by then. They had drawn blood and urine and everything was normal. So the doctor thinks it's just gastritis and advised me to keep away from caffeine, booze and spicy foods and to follow up with my doc (appt on Thursday natch). He also prescribed me some drugs, $105 for 30 pills. Oy! I have an appointment for Thursday.

So now all I want is Taco Bell and a Pepsi and I have the worst caffeine withdrawal headache ever.

I did end up going to work yesterday, lucky for me I didn't have to start work until 1pm. Of course I had to throw 3 teenagers out and then was confronted by one of their mothers. The thanks I get for dragging myself in on only a few hours sleep.

Thankfully I was able to talk to [livejournal.com profile] bona once I got home from work. He's such a blessing in my life in so many ways.

yikes! i'm glad it's nothing serious...caffeine withdrawl is not something i would wish on anyone...i hear those headaches can be awful, and as a migraine sufferer, i can empathize...caffeine's one thing i never got addicted to, which was good, cuz otherwise it would have been a REALLY awful pregnancy for me...

i'm glad you've got you-know-who to cheer you up! =)
