TNT Update and a book and a CD recommendation
Physical training is going good, we did 6 miles last Saturday. I'm about at a 16:15 mile, which isn't very fast but it's fast enough to make it a good 90 minute cardio workout.
And then I had a wedding with dancing until nearly midnight. Needless to say I was mighty pooped on Sunday.
Fundraising is going well, i'm at $682.50 which is just above 20% of my $3300 goal. Donations are tax-deductible. :)
The book recommendaiton is So You Wanna Be a Rock and Roll Star: How I Machine-Gunned A Roomful of Record Executives and Other True Tales from a Drummer's Life by Jacob Slichter who is the drummer of Semisonic. Remember the closing "Closing Time", that's the band. It's a great inside look at how major labels work and how musicians try to survive them.
The Cd recommendation is Buddy Miller's Universal United House of Prayer. I'm describing it as s**t-kickin' country-tinged gospel music.
And yes I do have a U2 icon. :)
