On a completely unrelated note you all should read two books by Thomas Lynch:
The Undertaking: Life Studies From the Dismal Trade and
Bodies in Motion and at Rest: On Metaphor and Mortality
Lynch was one of the writers I heard at the Calvin Festival of Faith and Writing a couple of weeks ago. I didn't know him from Adam but decided to go hear him as a fluke and was entranced by his warmth and spirituality.
He's a poet/essayist who is also an undertaker.
